San Angel Foods Co. Ltd. is inspired by Mexico City’s traditional “Barrio de San Angel,” a stone-paved neighbourhood dating back to the 17th century. Although San Angel was absorbed by the growth of modern and fast-paced Mexico City around 1950, it still maintains much of the beauty and charm from when it was a stand-alone small town. The glazed tile domes of its churches, the facades and balconies of its majestic buildings and the baroque fountains are landmarks of this neighbourhood and a source of inspiration for our product and our branding.

In a similar spirit, San Angel Foods Co.’s mission is to bring to bustling cosmopolitan Vancouver a line of Mexican-inspired preserves made in small batches using traditional recipes that yield products with all the flavour their mass-produced counterparts have lost.
